FIRE SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Fire is an ever-present hazard in all workplaces. If not managed correctly the consequences can be significant. Every year thousands of fires affect business premises, many with tragic outcomes. The financial costs associated with fire outbreaks can be very high, without robust business continuity planning, many organisations are unable to start up again.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) aims to ensure the safety of employees by defining a responsible person as someone who is in control of the premises and places a number of duties upon them - including the need to make a suitable and sufficient risk assessment and to identify the general fire precautions required within a given business.

These duties should not be undertaken lightly and all business premises should ensure that their fire procedures are appropriate and well-maintained. AJB42 Consulting Ltd has extensive experience of conducting Fire Risk Assessments and implementing the control measures that typically result from these evaluations.
